I DON'T JUST MAKE FILMS

I MAKE YOU FEEL WHAT WORDS CAN'T SAY

And when the screen goes black, the feeling remains.

WHO I AM

I’m David Kjærnet. I don’t just tell stories — I excavate them. I rip them from the depths of raw emotion, drag them through chaos, and carve them into frames that hit like a punch to the gut. I don’t just create films — I create experiences. I make you feel.

I studied film at Høyskolen Kristiania, but my education didn’t end there. The real lessons came from the grind — working on the set of James Bond in Norway, where I watched legends in action, absorbing every technique, every frame, every moment. It was there that I learned that a single frame can scream louder than a thousand words.

I directed, edited, and wrote my own war short film with nothing but 1000 NOK and 9 days, and it looks like a million-dollar action sequence. I didn’t have resources, but I had vision. And that vision is what carried me through every sleepless night, every unrelenting shoot, every impossible challenge. That film wasn’t just a project — it was a declaration. A battle cry. Proof that a limited budget can’t limit the scope of a story.

I don’t need inspiration from other filmmakers. I don’t hunt for ideas in other people’s work.I live in my own head, in a world of my own creation. My mind is a never-ending film reel, running 24/7, and every frame is mine. You want inspiration? I’ll give you imagination. You want to follow trends? I’ll create the new standard. My style is unmistakable — bold, unflinching, cinematic. My work is a reflection of what I am — driven, relentless, unafraid to go where others won’t.

And yes, people have said my work reminds them of Christopher Nolan — not because I’m copying him, but because I see time as a weapon, a storytelling device. I bend it, break it, stretch it. I manipulate time to pull you in and never let you go.

But don’t mistake me for someone who just dreams big. I am action. I am execution.
I am the kind of filmmaker who will work through the night without sleep, without rest, because the shot in my mind is too powerful to ignore. I am the kind of director who won’t settle for “good enough.” I will push harder, dig deeper, make you feel every second of that scene until it burns itself into your memory.

I am relentless. I am obsessive. I am a machine that never stops. I don’t work for recognition — I work to create a legacy that will outlive me. Every frame, every cut, every second on screen — it’s all part of a larger picture, a larger purpose.

My craft is more than just a career. It’s a battlefield. Every project is a fight against mediocrity, against the predictable, against the forgettable. I don’t just want to make films. I want to leave a scar. I want to create something that stays with you long after the credits roll, something that haunts you in the dead of night, something that makes you question everything you thought you knew.

Because that’s what cinema is. Not a collection of moving images, but a mirror held up to the soul. And when you’re staring into that mirror, you either see what’s really there or you see nothing at all.

I am David Kjærnet. And I am here to make you feel.

BECAUSE IN THE END, IT'S NOT ABOUT WHAT YOU WATCHED.

IT'S ABOUT WHAT YOU FELT WHEN THE LIGHTS WENT OUT.

IT'S NOT ABOUT THE SCRIPT, THE ACTORS, THE CUTS.

IT'S ABOUT THE SPACES BETWEEN THE WORDS — THE PAUSES THAT HIT HARDER THAN A SCREAM.

WHEN THE SCREEN GOES BLACK, YOU'RE LEFT ALONE WITH YOUR OWN BREATH

AND THAT'S WHEN THE REAL FILM STARTS — THE ONE THAT PLAYS IN YOUR HEAD, THE ONE YOU CAN'T PAUSE OR REWIND.

I DON'T MAKE FILMS TO ENTERTAIN.

I MAKE FILMS TO BURN, TO HAUNT, TO LINGER.

TO REMIND YOU OF WHAT YOU'RE TRYING TO FORGET.

BECAUSE WHEN EVERYTHING FADES TO BLACK, AND THE CREDITS ROLL, ALL THAT'S LEFT IS WHAT YOU FEEL.

AND IF YOU'RE STILL FEELING IT, THAT MEANS I DID MY JOB.

I DON'T JUST MAKE FILMS.

I MAKE YOU FEEL.
